PASS PLUS TRAINING
Here at Progress we deliver Pass Plus training in conjunction with Pass Plus Cymru.
When you have passed your driving test you are ready to start learning new, more advanced driving skills. Because these skills are taught by a professional driving instructor, you will gain valuable extra experience and motoring skills that would otherwise take a longer time to build such as;
-
Driving around town centres (busy traffic)
-
Driving out of town (country lanes)
-
Driving in all weathers
-
Driving at night
-
Driving on dual carriageways
-
Driving on motorways
You will also cover defensive driving, hazard awareness, concentration, speed, drugs and drink driving, safe attitudes and behaviour. Completion of the Pass Plus certificate may also entitle you to a discount on your car insurance.
The Pass Plus course is comprised of a 3 hour theory session where you will be expected to participate and a 7-8 hour driving session (usually with 2 drivers and sometimes split over 2 days).
Not all driving instructors are registered as Pass Plus deliverers and so not all driving instructors promote the course. Even if you passed your test with another driving instructor who is not able to deliver the Pass Plus, we are happy to take you for this course.
The normal cost of the course is between £120 and £150.
Why should young drivers (17 - 25) consider Pass Plus Cymru?
Pass Plus Cymru is a scheme currently running in Wales. As well as reducing the risk of your being involved in a road crash, the scheme will enable you to gain valuable experience and skills. Upon completion of the course each candidate will be issued with a Certificate of Achievement as well as the Pass Plus Certificate. The cost of the course, which has been accredited by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA), is just £20 if you are a young driver living in Wales, a significant discount from the normal cost of between £120 and £150. |
